Channel Packs e-mail Follow-up

From Team Miro Wiki

When a channel is included in the new channel pack an e-mail needs to be sent out to the channel content creator to let them know about their channel being featured.

We can now use Contarc's nifty script which generates the e-mail for you.

E-Mail Template

Hello CHANNEL OWNER,

I want to let you know that CHANNEL NAME is a default channel offered to EVERY first time Miro user. We have created Channel Packs, sorted by genre, that allow new Miro users to get a sample of high quality internet video channels in their areas of interest.

Check out the channel packs at https://www.miroguide.com/firsttime (first time Miro users see that page in Miro). Note: You must have Miro installed to look at the channels within each of the channel packs.

We just launched Miro 1.0, which has been getting great press coverage. Prior to Miro 1.0, we were seeing 200,000+ downloads per month, and we're growing fast.

If you don't already have control of your feeds in the Miro Guide, and would like to have the option to update and control the settings of your channel(s), then you can reply to this e-mail, and we will be happy to transfer the ownership to your account.

We chose your feed for this channel pack because your work is awesome — we appreciate it. Thank you for making this great content freely available for everyone to enjoy!

-Regards,
