Installation instructions:
To install Miro on Ubuntu, you need to add our repository. This is pretty easy and you only need to do it once.
Open Synaptic Package Manager
Open the repositories window
Select the "Third Party" tab, then click the add button
Add the repository line for the version of Ubuntu you're using:
- Jaunty (9.04): (amd64 or i386)
deb http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/pculture.org/miro/linux/repositories/ubuntu jaunty/ - Intrepid (8.10): (amd64 or i386)
deb http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/pculture.org/miro/linux/repositories/ubuntu intrepid/ - Hardy LTS (8.04): (amd64 or i386)
deb http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/pculture.org/miro/linux/repositories/ubuntu hardy/
...then click the Add Source button
- Jaunty (9.04): (amd64 or i386)
Install Miro
Once PCF's repository is added, you can install Miro like any other Ubuntu package. Hit the Reload button, search for "Miro" and mark the packages for installation and click Apply.That's it!
After this you will be notified when new versions are released.(Optional) Install codecs
If permitted in your location, you can download support for additional codecs at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats.
