Another great feature would be an extra button next to the thumbnail which allows you to open the video in a new VLC window ("Open with VLC").

Also, I hope it automatically renames videos to their RSS title. That is absolutely required!!! ;) The filenames used now are quite cryptic.

Miro fan from India here. It's an amazing piece of software. I hope 2.0 will include more features already available in VLC -- e.g. right-click on full screen video and change the aspect ratio, adjust brightness/contrast settings, crop etc.

lazyj-- that sucks, sorry to hear it! have you filed a bug yet? we definitely want to make sure that's fixed. our goal is to have it out before the end of the year, but more importantly we want to make sure it's great.

thanks nicholas, do you happen to have a rough timeline for the 2.0 release?

My miro 1.2.7 database has corrupted 3 times, and I've lost all of my subscriptions/database (movies are still in the archive folder of course).

So I'm really hoping the 2.0 database schema is more rock solid this time.... i'll take my chances on the nightlies over the 1.2.7 branch :)

johan -- we don't really have a roadmap or feature list up yet, though you could poke around the bug tracker and see what's been getting done.

lazyj -- we aren't planning for it not to work, but of course the nightlies are unstable and you do take the risk of losing your database.
