The Participatory Culture Foundation – Living Up To Our Name On Twitter
We blog pretty regularly here about the bigger events and happenings of our organizational life, but if you’d like a more macro-view of what we’ve got going on, follow us on Twitter.
While we’ve blogged about it in the past and you may have noticed the recent revamp of our help section, we’re still actively trying to find new ways to not just reach out to our peeps, but to listen to them too.
With this goal in mind we set up a Twitter account. We know Twitter has been around for a while and we’re a little behind on the power curve, but hey, the site’s down most of the time anyway so really, who cares?
If you happen to have some ideas for other venues we should look into, drop us a line or leave a comment and we’ll definitely check it out.

How about identi.ca, which is like Twitter except open source, decentralized and scalable?
Seriously folks, you’re losing your open source street cred

I agree with Nelson - please setup an account at identi.ca too
Note that if you use a Twitter client as Twhirl or Posty, they support identi.ca as well, so you can really use both services. Here is an entry from the Creative Commons blog with some links to identi.ca open source and free software roots:

I was just going to say what Nelson and open is saying! Get with idetni.ca, or set up your own Laconica server! Also you can post to boty Twitter and identi.ca simultaneously by using ping.fm or hellotxt.com! Less work, same level of freedom..
And you haven’t been very good at listening to me, at least. I sent you an e-mail quite a few days ago about a serious bug over on effortlessgood.com, but I haven’t hear back from you, and it’s not fixed. It’s a shame if all those good causes looses a lot of money over this!

børge, I just noticed that Effortless Good isn’t listed in our bug tracker. I’m getting that fixed now.
