OMG! After some minutes of waiting (while I was trying to find a solution to my problem), it started downloading! The speed is around 80 KB/s and fluctuating every second, but Im glad its working! Thank you for the great Miro program ;o)

Ah, interesting — looks like Miro doesn't grab videos that can't be embedded right now (like the bbcworldnews videos). I'll see what the devs say about getting around that.

I might have figured out the problem. I was trying to use the general format for each youtube username: "http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/base/users/USERNAME/uploads"

However, things were turning up in my queue that were months old.

Then I started using this format:
"http://www.youtube.com/rss/user/USERNAME/videos.rss"

And I got happyslip, askaninja, and a few others to work.

I'm still having issues, however, with "bbcworldnews" (I think it's some bogus protection that they have on their end, even with their youtube channel – ridiculous), but looks like this other format is working just fine.

Thus far, "bbcworldnews" is giving me a "error, file not found" and is not pulling up the most recent videos.

For "happyslip," I'm getting videos popping up falsely labeled with recent dates in the Miro window that are actually from a month, a year, and two years ago.

Pulling favorites/subscriptions from usernames, or just using Miro for all the videos that a particular user publishes? You should be able to do the latter directly with Miro (just grab the RSS feed that YouTube makes).

has anyone come up with a solution to pulling Youtube videos for specific Youtube usernames yet? Charles said that Yahoo pipes doesn't work anymore? Why not?

Hi Ariah, that's something I've personally always wanted, but I don't think we really support it yet — we'd need to scrape the feed for videos... but it would be awesome to have a nice layout in http://miroguide.com for your videos!

Here's a question: If I had a rss feed to say a random blog. And the blog occasionally posted a youtube video in one of it's posts. Could Miro sort through the feed and download the embeded youtube videos when they are in a post?

That would be AWESOME.
