I figured I was missing something obvious. I had seen the xpi file but had not realized that this was basically a ZIP file of the components needed to implement the add-on. But since I had kept digging, I found a thread which mentioned that point and was then able to read/understand the content. Now I just have to figure out what has to be changed to make it work with our affiliate code, but still leave the info to give credit to Participatory Culture Foundation.

>>>
You can browse the source online at
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/files/br...or just
download the XPI (http://www.iheartmiro.org/iHeartMiro-latest.xpi).
It's a standard ZIP file
.<<<<

Thanks again

I was thinking of doing something similar for a non-profit I work with and wanted to check out your code. I was happy to read the comment that your code had been GPLed, but I can't seem to find that code anyplace. Am I missing something obvious? or did it possibility get removed? This post was from a while ago some maybe it is no longer available. Any pointers appreciated.

Since my wife buys allot on amazon I think you will get some contribution from us. I think this is a very good way to raise funds without actually having to send money directly to you. Kepp up the good work. Cheers from snowy Monteal.

I've installed the extension. The url showed your tag when I hit Amazon, but it's gone now that I'm purchasing a product. Hope it works.

The alt text you suggest is wrong: it should be alt="The easiest way to support open media: i ♥ Miro", or perhaps alt="i ♥ Miro". (This isn't being picky—it's a full-on violation of the standard. Ian Hickson agrees.)

Also, the website's user agent string sniffing doesn't offer the extension to trunk builds of Firefox (which call themselves “Minefield”); any Gecko-based browser should be able to refuse extensions it's incompatible with, so you only need to check for Gecko (if even that) before offering the extension.

This is very cool. And thanks for GPLing the code inside, it's a beauty to look at!
