Now you can see which of the 2,500+ channels in the Miro Guide are Top Rated. We’ve also put ratings in the Popular channels section. Rating channels is dead simple, just make an account (it takes less than 30 seconds) and start rating.
Why Rate Channels?
Aside from helping other users, ratings will soon help you find better channels. We’re about to implement a system that will hand out personalized channel recommendations (à la Netflix). The more channels you rate, the more accurate your personal recommendations will get!
Note on Null Ratings: The ‘anti’ symbol on the left doesn’t negatively affect the channel’s ratings, it simply shows that you are indifferent or uninterested in a particular channel, and will help us make more accurate recommendations.
Note to Mac Users: The current version of Safari (which we use to render Miro Guide) doesn’t display the nice stars. If you update to Safari 3 beta, you will see the fully interactive stars (be aware that you cannot downgrade back to Safari 2.x after you upgrade).
