Help for Vista users with the ‘audio only, no video’ problem

March 14th, 2007 — janet

Thanks to one of our users who posted this in the troubleshooting forum and the ticket. If you are using Vista and are having the problem where you don’t have any video on playback, there is a simple, effective workaround.

  • Right-click on the Democracy launch icon
  • Select Properties
  • Click on the Compatibility tab
  • Select Windows XP SP2
  • Save, close and launch Democracy

As Democracy Player launches, you will see a message stating that Aeroglass has been disabled, but you will have both video and audio.

[Note: If you are experiencing any other issues with Democracy Player, the best place to look for answers or get some help is via the Democracy forum or the bug tracker system.]
