“Also, we’re wondering about another bug: does this build seem slower to switch between channels on Windows? Does it freeze unexpectedly at times?”
I am on Windows XP sp2, and have not yet had any problem with this build, and no, it does not seem slower when switching channels. So far so good.

Hi Barry - In the http://participatoryculture.org/nightlies/ page linked to in the post, choose the most recent nightly version for Windows. When you install the program using the downloaded .exe, the version of the program will followed by a code. I have Mac OS, where this code is r4034, and it works probably in the same way with Windows. The program is not called v0.9.5 because version 0.9.5 is not yet an official release, I believe.

I want to help iron out any bugs, but the links for Windows download v0.9.2.1, NOT v0.9.5. How are we supposed to help?

I downloaded the DP v0.9.5 and found the change is focusing on UI. Great improvement, but disappointedly that I still does not see anything related to bug #3422 (https://develop.participatoryculture.org/trac/democracy/ticket/3422) about setting up an UI for those deaf or hard-to-hear or non-native speaker to turn on the captions or subtitles when accompanied with the video.
There has been some hot talk in the internet but most of the players (such as itunes ..) does not listen to. I really look forward to seeing the DP can make this happen in the near future.

Cha! and nice job has done from you lovely guys!
