Thanks to the efforts of Uwe Hermannm, an amazing volunteer on this project, Democracy Player is now in Debian unstable, as of today. Debian is a very popular version of Linux and having Democracy accepted into Debian unstable means that users can get the latest version of the application simply by typing:
apt-get install democracyplayer
Uwe also says:
“Bug reports against the Debian package will be listed at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=democracyplayer
I think I’ll forward/copy any non-Debian-related bugs to Trac, or does somebody read the Debian bug reports regularly? If no serious bugs occur, the package will migrate to Debian testing in 1-2 weeks…
I’ll update the package to 0.8.4.1 soonishly, btw…”
